Washing and care symbols
Our care symbols
Each MADELEINE article is labelled with the corresponding care symbols. Please refer to the following list for the meaning of the symbols. Please always refer to the individual care instructions before cleaning or attempting to remove stains from your garments.
Washing
The numbers in the wash tub correspond to the maximum wash temperatures that must not be exceeded. The bar below the wash tub calls for a (mechanically) milder treatment (gentle wash cycle). It indicates washing cycles that are suitable for easy-care and mechanically sensitive items, for example. The double bar indicates wash cycles with further minimised mechanical action, e.g. for wool.
Bleach
Ironing
The dots indicate the temperature ranges of the control irons.
Professional textile care
The letters are intended for dry cleaners. They provide an indication of the solvents in question. The bar below the circle calls for a limitation of the mechanical stress, the addition of moisture and/or the temperature during cleaning.
This symbol can be used to identify articles that can be treated using the wet cleaning process. It is placed as the second line below the symbol for dry cleaning. The bars below the circle require a restriction on mechanical stress during wet cleaning (see Washing).
Drying
The dots indicate the drying levels of the tumble dryers.
